Floors a baby can crawl on
If you've got a little one on the move, the floor stops being scenery and becomes the main thing in the house. Everything they find goes in their mouth. So we vacuum right into the corners and along the skirting, not just the open middle of the room, and we mop with products that are safe once they've dried. No sticky film, no eye-watering smell hanging about at nap time. We do the kitchen floor under the table and around the high chair legs, which is exactly where the worst of it ends up and exactly where a quick pass usually misses.
Pet hair and the back door
Wylie is full of dogs, and the back door sees a lot of traffic. Hair works its way into the sofa, under the beds and along the bottom of the stairs, and dander is one of the biggest allergy triggers in a family home — it sticks around long after the hair is gone. We go after both. Entry mats get lifted and the grit underneath comes up. Paw prints on the tile get dealt with properly. A family bathroom with three or four people using it never fully dries out, and that's when mildew takes hold along the caulk and in the grout. We scrub those lines rather than spraying and wiping, clean the shower door track where the black stuff gathers, and dry everything down so it starts from a better place each week. Around the window frames too, since damp settles there and gets ignored. Cleaner bathrooms mean fewer spores floating about, which matters if anyone in the house wheezes in spring.
Pollen season and keeping the house breathable

We've got two dogs and kids. Are your products safe to use around them?
Yes. We choose products that are safe around pets and children once dry, and we don't use anything with fumes that linger. Nobody needs to be shut in another room while we work, and the dogs can come straight back through. If anyone in the house has a particular sensitivity, tell us and we'll adjust what we bring.
Can you clean on a school day while everyone's out?
That's the most popular slot we have in Wylie. We let ourselves in with a key or a code, work through the house, and lock up behind us. You come back to it done. If you'd rather be home, that suits us too — we'll just work around you and stay out of your way.
Our yard is always tracking dirt inside. Will that get handled?
It's half the job in Wylie. Backyard dirt goes straight through the entry, down the hallway and onto the kitchen tile.
