Lake air is hard on bathrooms
Living near the water is lovely. It is also damp. Steam sits in a Grapevine bathroom longer than it should, and before long there is black speckling in the grout and a gray line where the window meets the sill. We go after that properly. Grout gets scrubbed, not just wiped. Window tracks and sills get opened up and cleaned out, because that is where mold starts in a lakeside house. Shower doors, the rubber seal along the bottom, the back of the toilet tank. The spots people skip are usually the spots that smell.
Cedar fever, oak pollen and the yellow film on everything
North Texas hands you oak and elm in spring, then cedar right through the holidays. If someone in your house wheezes or wakes up with a headache in January, the dust sitting on your baseboards is not helping matters. We vacuum with a sealed machine so what comes up stays up. Older Grapevine homes need a gentler hand
Around Historic Main Street a lot of homes still have original wood, trim that has been painted eleven times, and tile older than most of us. You cannot take a harsh chemical to any of that. We test in a corner first, use the mildest thing that will do the job, and tell you honestly when something is stained rather than dirty. Newer construction across town has its own quirks: builder grout that drinks up every spill, and vents that shed drywall dust for a year. Different houses, different approach, same care.

Some want monthly, some want us the day before the in-laws land. We are insured and bonded, and nobody here argues with you about a room that was missed.

I am very pleased with the deep cleaning provided. A remodel left a lot of dust in the house and everything needed to be wiped down before we could move in. Grapevine questions we hear a lot
Do you clean the older homes near Historic Main Street?
Yes, and we enjoy them. Those houses have character, which in cleaning terms means uneven floors, tired grout and trim that has seen a century of paint. We work gently and we keep anything harsh away from original wood and tile. If a surface is worn rather than dirty, we will tell you straight instead of scrubbing at it and making it worse.
We are close to the water and the guest bathroom always smells musty. Can you fix that?
Usually, yes. That smell is nearly always mildew somewhere you cannot see: the grout, the shower seal, the window track or the exhaust fan cover. We clean all of it rather than covering it with scent. If the bathroom has no working vent fan we will say so, because no amount of scrubbing outruns trapped steam in Grapevine humidity.
We both work. Does someone need to be home in Silver Lake while you clean?
No. Most of our Grapevine clients leave us a code or a key, and because the same cleaner comes each visit, that is one person you get to know rather than a rotating crew. We lock up behind us and text when we leave. We are insured and bonded, and we are happy to start with a visit while you are home if that feels better.
