Sand gets everywhere, so we start at the doors
Sand is not really dirt, it is tiny rock, and dragging a wet mop through it scratches your floors. So we vacuum first, every single time: the entry, the runner sitting on it, and the track your back door slides along. Then we mop. We lift mats instead of cleaning around them, pull the grit out of the baseboard edge, and get the laundry room floor where wet towels land. It is not glamorous work. It is the difference between a Little Elm house looking clean and feeling clean underfoot.
Humidity is the other half of lake life
Warm, damp air pushes into a house and settles anywhere there is no airflow. Little Elm questions we hear a lot
We are in Union Park with three kids and a lake habit. How do we stop the floors looking gritty two days later?
You cannot stop sand coming in, but you can stop it spreading. We vacuum the entries thoroughly and clean underneath the mats rather than around them. Between visits, a coarse mat outside and a washable one inside catches most of it. Shoes off at the garage door helps more than anything else we could possibly do for you.
Can you clean while we are out at the lake on a weekend?
Often, yes. We do some Little Elm homes on weekends and a good many on weekday mornings while everyone is at work or school. You give us access, we lock up, and we text you when we are finished. Since the same cleaner comes each visit, it is one familiar face rather than a different crew turning up.
The ceiling above our shower keeps spotting. Is that mold?
Usually it is mildew growing on moisture, and it is common in Paloma Creek and anywhere else with tight new construction near the water. We clean it off and keep it down on a regular schedule. If it returns within a week, that points to a weak exhaust fan, and nobody can out-scrub a bathroom that never properly dries out.
