Lake air, damp bathrooms and the mildew that comes with it
Living near Lewisville Lake means the air holds more moisture than folks expect. That shows up first in bathrooms — grout that darkens, a shadow creeping along the caulk line, a musty smell in the shower that never quite lifts. We scrub it properly rather than spraying over it, and we dry the surfaces down afterwards so it takes far longer to come back. Small spaces in Austin Ranch, done right
A lot of our Colony customers are in apartments and townhomes, and small homes are their own skill. Dust has nowhere to go. One cluttered kitchen counter makes the whole place feel grubby. We work top down and finish the floors last, so nothing settles on what we've already done. Stairs in a townhome get proper attention — the edges and the spindles, not just the middle of each tread. And we're quiet about it. Thin walls cut both ways, and we'd rather your neighbours never notice we came.
Pets, lake mud and shedding season
Dogs love this town, and why wouldn't they with the trails right there. But paws come back off the shoreline carrying half of it, and shedding season fills the corners with hair no vacuum seems to catch. We go after the places it actually collects: under the sofa cushions, along the skirting boards, the edge of the carpet where it mats into the grip. Do you clean apartments and townhomes in Austin Ranch?
Yes, plenty of them. Apartments and townhomes are a big part of our work in The Colony. We handle the parking and access without fuss, and we're mindful of noise for the neighbours. If your building needs us checked in at a front desk or a gate code, just let us know when you book and we'll sort it out before the first visit.
Homes near the lake seem to get damp. Can you help with that?
We can help a lot. Bathrooms and window frames near Lewisville Lake pick up moisture, and that's where mildew starts. We clean it off rather than masking it, dry everything down, and keep an eye on the same trouble spots each visit so it doesn't creep back. We'll also tell you honestly if something looks like a ventilation problem we can't fix with a cloth.
Can you work around a lunch out or a walk at Stewart Creek Park?
That's how most of our Colony customers do it. You don't need to be home. We agree a key or a door code, you head out, and you come back to a finished house. Lots of folks time it with an early meal at Angelina's Don Francisco's. If you'd rather stay in while we work, that's completely fine too.
