Country grit is not the same as city dust
Gravel drives, pasture, and a hundred feet of walk from the truck to the back door — it all ends up on your floors as fine grit that scratches. So we start at the doors. Mats lifted and beaten, entry tile scrubbed rather than wiped, mudroom benches cleared and dusted underneath. Then hard floors get vacuumed before anything wet touches them, because pushing grit around with a mop is how tile grout goes gray. Boot trays and the laundry sink get done too, since that's where the worst of it collects.
Horses, dogs and everything they shed
Hair and dander don't stay in the barn. They ride in on jackets and jeans and settle into upholstery, rugs and the bottom of stair treads. We vacuum sofas and chairs, not just around them, and we run a rubber brush over the spots a vacuum skates over. Air vents and returns get wiped, because that's how dander keeps circulating long after the dog has gone outside. If someone in the family reacts to animals, we'll keep bedding and bedroom floors on a tighter rhythm than the rest.
Big house, sensible plan
A house with wings, a guest suite and a bonus room over the garage takes a plan or it takes all day. We sit down with you and sort rooms into three piles: every visit, every other visit, and once a month. Kitchens, bathrooms and the rooms you actually live in are always in the first pile. Guest rooms, formal dining and the upstairs nobody climbs can rotate. You pay for a clean house, not for someone polishing a room that's been shut since spring.
Gates, dogs in the yard, and keeping it simple
Tell us the gate code once and we'll keep it somewhere safe. Tell us which dog is friendly and which one needs shutting in the utility room, and we'll do that too. Fairview questions we hear a lot
We're on a well and septic. Does that change what you use?
It does, a little. We keep to low-suds, biodegradable products and we don't pour anything harsh down the drains — no caustic drain openers, no bleach by the bucket. Rinse water goes down the kitchen or utility sink, not the toilet. If your system is older or you've had trouble with it, tell us and we'll go gentler again.
Do you clean inside Heritage Ranch?
Yes, regularly. It's gated, so we'll need you to add us at the gate or give us a code, and we'll always let you know the day before so nothing's a surprise at the guardhouse. The villas there are usually quicker than an acreage home, which means we can often fit you into a morning slot and be gone before lunch.
Will you clean the tack room or the barn office?
We'll do a finished room in an outbuilding — a tack room, a barn office, a pool house — if it's a normal indoor space with power and water nearby. What we don't do is stalls, feed rooms or anything involving livestock. Mention the extra space when you call so it's in the quote from the start and not a surprise later.
