Living under big trees
Shade is a blessing in August and a nuisance most of the rest of the year. Pollen coats the porch and the window ledges in spring, seed and catkins get walked through the entry, and by November there is leaf grit in the door tracks and on the stair treads. Then cedar fever arrives in the dead of winter, when the house is shut up tight. So we work the entryways hard in Coppell. That is why we mop with mild products and rinse, and why we leave nothing slick or strongly scented behind us. Hard floors get done edge to edge, not just down the middle. We wipe the low things small hands reach for: cabinet fronts, the dishwasher handle, the bottom of the fridge door, the legs of the dining chairs. If there is a cleaner you already trust on your own kitchen floor, leave it out and we will use yours instead.
The same face at your door

I am very pleased with the deep cleaning provided. A remodel left a lot of dust in the house and everything needed to be wiped down before we could move in. Do you clean the older, smaller houses in Old Town Coppell?
We do. The cottages and older houses around Old Town have small rooms, narrow stairs and awkward corners, and they take more patience per square foot than a newer place over in Riverchase. Original bathrooms usually want extra time on grout and less on everything else. We walk through with you first, agree what matters, and price it on how long the work honestly takes rather than by a room count.
Cedar fever floors me every January. Does cleaning actually help?
It will not stop cedar pollen blowing into Coppell in December and January, because nothing will. What it does is cut how much of it is sitting in your house waiting to be stirred up again. We wipe sills and blinds, vacuum soft furnishings, wash bedding left out for us, and keep the entry floor clear so what is tracked in does not spread. Bedrooms kept clean are what people say helps most.
Can every-other-week visits keep up with three kids and a retriever?
Usually, as long as we agree what gets priority. With a busy family and a shedding dog, fortnightly works best when we put the hours into kitchens, bathrooms, floors and pet hair, and leave the toy tidying to you. If the in-between weeks start feeling long, some Coppell families add a short kitchen and bathroom visit. We would rather adjust the plan than take money for something that is not keeping up.
